Will linking to a page with lower Google PR hurt my sites ranking?

No but PR is passed evenly to ALL outbound links (internal AND external) on a page. For example say page Y on your site has 10 links (internal AND external, doesn't matter), the PR of page Y will be spread evenly between 11 links, including your own.

This doesn't mean page Y will "leak" PR, or that the PR of page Y will decrease. The PR value of page Y does not depend on how many outbound links it has.


What is the max amount of links i should add to one page?

Keep the links on a given page to a reasonable number (fewer than 100).


Are backlinks necessary for traffic?

Links with targetted anchor text can help improve your serps with in turn equals search better traffic.


What is one way linking?

Getting a link from a site without linking back to that same website. One way links are very valuable.

A link to another website placed on your site in exchange for a link to your site from theirs.
